A: The Spirit™ can record only to cassette. If you want to record to another medium, the 8101 can record through its built in mic to its own internal memory or to an attached SD Card.
A: The main difference between the Spirit™ multimedia player, previously upgraded with a built-in microphone, and the Spirit SD (also with built-in mic) is that the SD model comes equipped with an SD card slot and USB port.
