Helps Control Classroom Clutter

Tabletop and Rolling Audio Pods™ offer all in one systems that help reduce classroom clutter.

Califone International, Inc., and Copernicus Educational Products, Inc., have partnered to provide teachers, media specialists, reading teachers, and school audiologists with two versions of customized tabletop and rolling carts for audio supplies. The Performer Plus™ Audio Pod and Spirit™ Audio Pods allow educators to organize listening center equipment, reading material and audio components in one convenient place.

Classrooms can become disorganized and messy as students use equipment, especially in the classroom learning center. Valuable teaching and learning time is wasted locating equipment, and it can become difficult to manage inventories. To address this problem, Califone and Copernicus Educational Products have designed these storage solutions to eliminate clutter. Available in either a portable or stationary model with the choice of a specially modified Performer Plus or Spirit Learning Center, the Audio Pod has dedicated storage spaces for a multimedia player, jackbox, audio materials, books, six headphones, and a special section to organize cables and cords.

The Audio Pods give educators a way to keep audio equipment and listening materials organized in one central location,” said Tim Ridgway, VP of Marketing for Califone. “This encourages students to take better care of the equipment while allowing teachers to track quickly each audio component for future use. These also support state requirements for oral communication development, and for understanding media literacy as part of recommended educational technology standards.

Since the audio equipment is readily available, the Audio Pod allows students to begin their lessons promptly and clean up efficiently afterward, which decreases waiting time between activities and optimizes the time available for learning.
