Califone is one of the first manufacturers within the Education Industry to post required CPSIA Information.
Califone has launched a portion of its website dedicated to providing information about its products in accordance to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008.
The legislation established new regulations governing the safety and related information of consumer products.
Under the new law, manufacturers, such as Califone, are required to issue a GCC, or General Conformity Certificate of compliance for every item produced. The GCC for each product will act as an umbrella document certifying that all of the required testing has been completed for that product and fulfills the responsibility of Califone to meet CPSIA regulations. All Califone items fall into either the “Consumer” or the “Children’s” product classifications, “Electronic” sub-classifications and are tested to meet the applicable regulations from their respective group.
