Saving Your Voice

Many of the previous articles in this series have talked about voice or music amplification for larger crowds (greater than one hundred people as an approximate starting point). But have you ever been speaking to a smaller audience and it would still be better if your voice could have been a little louder? Or what if you had a sore throat and couldn’t even talk up to a conversational level, let alone to a group of people? If you are a teacher, seminar leader, trainer, or a presenter, your answer might be “yes” to either of these two questions. Many of us have gotten by at one point or another by simply “talking through it” and later feeling the strain or soreness in our vocal cords. If talking to a group of people is your livelyhood, you can’t sustain this approach for a long period of time. There is a simpler solution! (more…)
