Record From All Sources

It’s no secret that different types of media players are used to teach in classrooms. Many of them need to be connected to some sort of installed system in order for them to function, but not every piece of equipment has internal speakers to play its audio. Since not everyone either has an installed system capable of handling the audio from multiple sources, so instead how about a boombox that can?

Less expensive and certainly more portable, a boombox that could play let alone record, from other media sources with a line out to its own Flash Memory, an SD card, or USB drive would add lots of flexibility and enable you to create more differentiated instruction for students wouldn’t it?

All of the above are possible through the 3.5mm Aux In of the Music Maker™ USB Multimedia Player/Recorder (2396). The latest addition to the Music Maker series, it allows you to record practical audio data for teaching purpose from an interview, a speech, a play, or just simply copying audio files onto different devices. D. Reynolds, a Director from Bible Center Christian School in Charleston, WV, shared about an earlier Music Maker, “We like the 2385-03 because it gives us the flexibility to use it in a variety of classroom activities with our preK-4 students.” Well, adding icing onto the cake, the Music Maker USB not only let you play MP3 files, but it also enables you to record all audio file formats.

Digital recording couldn’t be any easier with Music Maker USB; simply select “AUX” as the source on the Music Maker USB, connect from line output of your media to the 3.5mm Aux In jack, press the RECORD button and then use the “FLASH/USB/SD” button to select the destination of the recorded files to begin your digital recording in about five seconds or press the RECORD button again for immediate recording. You can even include personalized instructions or comments into the recording through the ¼” Mic Input so students will hear audio data that’s mixed with your guidance. (The Performer Plus also has an Aux In, but without the digitial capabilities.)

Digital audio is no doubt the growing trend in education. With Music Maker USB, you can easily use recorded lessons for below grade-level or ESL/ELD students to sharpen their skills through self-paced learning. You are also empowered to track students’ learning progress in real time, or even provide parents with specific data on student developments. Moreover, all the recorded curriculum files can be effortlessly kept in your very own “digital libraries” for anytime easy access.

Music Maker USB is designed for classroom use. Its Aux In and recording capability take you to a new world of teaching. Record valuable materials from all sources and have them at your fingertips as you lead your students stepping forward in the digital age.
