A Warranty Like No Other

9th in a series about Boomboxes

The warranty on consumer products doesn’t cover use in schools.

There are a lot of available choices these days when it comes to audio visual products. Depending upon the amount of usage any given item gets, who uses it and where all contribute to how long it’s going to last. We all have minimum expectations about how long something will last and the amount of support the manufacturer will provide, but when it comes to using a product designed for home use, is it possible to apply the same expectations when it’s used in schools, libraries, and classrooms?

The answer is simple. If it is a Califone product – yes. Schools that purchase audio visual equipment such as headphones and headsets, media players, and PA systems from consumer electronics stores may think that warranties apply across the board regardless of where the products are used. On the contrary, the warranty for those audio visual products is voided the moment they’re used by a school. Since we manufacture audio visual equipment for the education market, our warranty ensures that our audio visual equipment is warranted specifically for school use. Califone understands that aside from repeated use, some students may tend to also abuse the equipment.

While our products are crafted with durable ABS plastic (which is also safer since it is less likely to shatter into potentially sharp shards) and built to withstand the rigors of daily use in a classroom, accidents can occur that may damage the product and thus require the need for repair or replacement. Having a product with the type of warranty that allows continued use in schools provides educators with the reassurance that they, as well as their Califone products, will be taken care of so they can fully focus on their students and their lesson plans.
