Upgrades DVD Player
Remote operation easier for classroom flexibility.
Califone introduced upgrades to its DVD110 player for 2010.
The already popular front-loading player received a new look with increased features and functionality from its revised remote control.
The remote delivers the ability to control the speed of play from 1/2X to 1/7X speeds, which can be a useful tool in classroom settings. The diminutive DVD110 (9″ x 8″ x 2″) is easy to install and was designed for use on desktops and to fit inside mobile AV carts. It plays the most widely used file formats (DVD/ DVD-R/ DVD-RW/ VCD/ CD/ CD-R/ CD-RW/ MP3/ MPEG4/ JPEG/ Kodak Picture CD) as well as MP3 and Mpeg4 discs.
The DVD110 has connections for full audio and video transmission to a TV, computer, or LCD projector. It also has digital and analog audio outputs to route the sound through a PA system for enhanced coverage. Another upgrade is the DVD110 now features a slot to connect a USB drive, recognizing the popularity and usefulness of the portable storage format. The same feature has been recently integrated into two of the company’s just-launched boomboxes.
