Califone put its own exclamation mark on the annual AV conference held last week in Las Vegas.
Led by company President Roscoe Anthony, the team hosted a spirited booth while meeting with dealers, system integrators, educators, and overseas visitors.
New and upgraded products drove a lot of the excitement across multiple product categories. Representing the launch of a new line of products, the company introduced its Assistive Listening System. Designed to provide amplified audio for individuals in auditoriums and other large venues, it’s designed to be utilized by tour groups and for translation activities and can be customized to accommodate different group sizes. The Installed Audio category saw the introduction of the company’s upgraded Infrared Audio System, which can now integrate announcements (with a dedicated volume control) made from a school’s main office and be heard through a choice of either non-powered array speakers or the recently launched Ceiling Speakers. Also shown for the first time was the complete line of 900 MHz Portable PA equipment as well as the wired PresentationPro speaker. The category was led by the flagship PowerPro SD, which is the first portable PA to offer 512 MB internal memory, built-in SD card & USB capabilities, along with a 300′ wireless transmission to an unlimited number of powered support speakers.
In addition to attendees from private and government sectors visiting the booth, the show afforded the opportunity for Califone to meet with many of its key domestic resellers. Dealers who visited Califone included; Adwar Video, Allied Vision Audio Visual, Camcor, CCS Presentations, Colortone Audio Visual, Data Impressions, Level 3 Audio Visual, Long’s Electronics, Media Integrators, Media Works, New Mexico Technology Systems, Teaching Edge, and Troxell Communications. Califone resellers from out of the country who also came to the booth included Canadian dealers Duocomm, L.R. Brown, Precision Sound, and European distributor Bretford UK.
