Launches Webcam for Virtual Learning
Webcam allows educators, students to connect one-on-one for online learning or with other classrooms virtually for global collaboration
Making it easier for schools and districts to offer engaging opportunities for online learning and global collaboration in the classroom, Califone International, Inc., announces the launch of its USB webcam. Windows and Mac compatible, the webcam features a built-in microphone and adjustable stand for desktop or computer mounting to provide a quality audio-visual experience for both teachers and students.
“With the new webcam, educators can connect with classrooms from around the world, expanding students’ global competency and understanding of other cultures,” said Tim Ridgway, VP of marketing. “This kind of technology also allows schools to offer virtual courses, providing instruction completely online.”

The USB webcam allows students and educators to quickly and easily share photos and videos, and stream live video (via skype for instance) to international classrooms, increasing global collaboration opportunities. As use of virtual learning environments increases in schools and districts, the webcam helps students participate in online courses, increasing access to credit recovery and blended learning curricula.
