Luck of the Educator – Irish or Not!

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up – a day filled with chance, fortune, perhaps even a bit of fate. Blarney – this very well could be your lucky day, pun intended!

With your thinking caps on, answer the following five St. Patrick’s Day trivia questions correctly to see if you can get to the end of the rainbow for your pot of gold, or in this case, one green-colored wireless learning center for your lab or classroom. This expandable learning system can serve as your good luck charm when the need arises for translation purposes on Back-to-School nights, for literacy groups, ELL/ELD or even the desire to learn Irish (or another language).

Don’t let leprechauns get hold of your windfall. This is your destiny – good luck! Bonus Prize; if you work in a school whose name begins with “O’_” (ie “O’Hare Elementary”) and you’re the first one to correctly answer all five questions, the prize is doubled (winner to receive two systems)!

1. What was the original color associated with St. Patrick?
2. Where does the longest-running holiday parade in North America take place?
3. What do the three leaves of the shamrock represent?
4. In what year did St. Patrick’s Day become an official public holiday in Ireland?
5. What role in the Christian church did St. Patrick hold?

Prize: CLS729-4-03 (green CLS wireless learning center) can transmit up to 100′ to an unlimited number of students! Just connect your audio source (media player or computer) and you’re all set. There’s even a mic input for you to make announcements to only those students who are listening on the network.

Éirinn go brách!
