Congrats to 7th grade Life Science teacher Laura Barker as the penultimate winner of a Spirit SD Learning Center!
The California-based Barker shared that she has “several students who have learning disabilities and I can see this as a great way for them to get the Science and practice their reading. They can read along with the recorded text. This will help them practice their reading while getting the same content in Science as all the other students.”
In addition to being loud enough to play content for the entire class, the Spirit SD Learning Center includes a 10-position stereo jackbox and four 3068AV headphones so a group of differentiated readers can quietly go about their activity without disturbing the rest of the class.
The 10 Spirit SD Classrom Learning Centers in 10 Days contest is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Spirit boombox, the most widely used equipment of its kind in schools, kindergartens and daycare centers.
