IT Teachers and administrators will learn how to create online professional development using Adobe Connect and Google. The objective of this seminar is for every school district in the nation to be able to offer online professional development. Currently, most school districts can not find time for their staff to be trained on the newest technologies placed in their classrooms or the latest reading or math program. With online professional development, the district leadership can host online professional development on weekends, nights, summers and even on institute days. The best part is that if a staff member misses a PD event, they can watch the recording of the meeting or training. Unlike live professional development, with Google Docs or Moodle, every participant can upload and share a self-reflection to prove that they watched the online professional development.
This hands-on ISTE 2012 session requested the use of headsets for computers and with tablets.
