Califone’s PA920 Announced as Winner in Tech & Learning’s ISTE 2017 Best of Show Awards
The ISTE conference provides an opportunity for the education community to gather and discuss the latest innovations and practices in classroom technology. To highlight the highest quality tech at the conference, Tech & Learning hosts an annual awards program called the Best of Show Awards. At this year’s conference, Tech & Learning selected Califone’s PowerPro PA920 as a Best of Show award winner.
The PA920 is a complete, self-contained sound system. The unit features two wireless microphone receivers that support multiple presenters, Bluetooth compatibility to receive streaming audio from Bluetooth-capable mobile devices, and a CD/USB Media Player that plays MP3 and MP4 audio files from CD and CD-R/W discs and USB thumb drives. With 90-watts RMS of power, the PowerPro PA920 easily provides audio for crowds up to 1,000 people. The master speaker has two combination XLR / 1/4 inch jacks for use with wired microphones and also includes a set of stereo RCA jacks that are ideal for connecting external audio sources.
Advisors from Tech & Learning and AV Technology explored the ISTE show floor to discover the latest product announcements from participating vendors. The judges then met to determine which solutions have the most promise in K-12 schools. Released at the top of 2017, the PA920 was selected by the judges as one of the most impactful new products.
“The PA920 is our flagship system, and is designed to reach audiences of 1,000 or more with ease,” said Scott Evans, Marketing Manager of Califone. “This recognition highlights the system’s ability to meet flexibility and cost-needs in 21st century schools.”
