image003Audiovisual education technology company receives T.H.E. Journal Readers’ Choice Award for Best Classroom Audio Distribution/Sound Enhancement System Maker

Chatsworth, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2016) – In an increasingly dynamic education landscape, teachers rely on technological tools and equipment to develop the most powerful and time-effective instructional strategies. Califone International, a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of audiovisual (AV) for use in education, has been recognized as a top education technology provider in T.H.E. Journal’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2016. Selected by an audience of educators, Califone earned a silver award in the category of Best Classroom Audio Distribution/Sound Enhancement System Maker.

The 2016 award program marks T.H.E. Journal’s second year of inviting readers to nominate their favorite classroom products and providers. Categories range from hardware solutions to software programs. Each category has a platinum, gold and silver award winner.

With the development of each product, Califone aims to innovate classroom capabilities and support teachers,” said Scott Evans, Marketing Manager of Califone. “This honor reflects those efforts, and demonstrates that the right technology can make a noticeable difference in how teachers accomplish their jobs.”

This year’s Readers’ Choice Awards gathered input from 1,003 individuals, including teachers, administrators, education specialists and IT leaders. Two-thirds of the respondents work in a public institution or local education agency. Participants were able to vote in any category of their choosing.

This year, Califone celebrates 70 years of providing audiovisual to educators. Entering 2017, Califone will continue to deliver innovative and reliable products to districts nationwide—including the GH507 and GH131 Gaming Headsets.

Madison, Wis. (Sept. 27, 2016) – As K-12 districts continue to shift to digital curriculum, education leaders need the right tools to deliver computer-based lessons. The Learning® Magazine 2017 Teachers’ Choice℠ Award for the Classroom recently recognized Califone’s 1534BK Kids Headphone as an exceptional audiovisual tool to be used in the K-12 classroom.

With noise reducing earcups that fit around, not on students’ ears, the 1534BK Kids Headphone makes it easier for them to focus on the lesson or task they are listening to. The headphone is designed to comfortably fit students ranging from pre-K through fourth grade and beyond. Ideal for personalized digital learning, the audio playback is calibrated to enhance the tonal range of the human voice for language learning.

Entering our 70th year in business, this award is a welcome reminder that Califone’s products continue to improve teaching and learning,” said Scott Evans, Marketing Manager of Califone. “Specifically, the Kids Headphone supports young students as they meet ELA standards.”

Committed to providing an audiovisual solution that lasts, Califone offers a three-year warranty with the 1534BK Kids Headphone. The warranty covers commercial use in schools, unlike consumer brands. The durability of the headphones, as well as the warranty, guarantee a lengthy lifespan.

2017-TCA-Classroom-colorThe 23rd annual Learning Magazine Teachers’ Choice Award determines winners based upon two reviews from a panel of teacher evaluators. The recognition of the Kids Headphone reflects the product’s status as a classroom-tested and teacher-recommended product.
