Extends Warranty to Unprecedented Lengths!

The company believes that purchasing decisions these days should take into account if the warranty even covers the item for use in schools which consumer electronics items do not, let alone for extended periods of time.

The offer extends to the following products purchased through authorized Califone dealers by December 30th, 2009.

The doubling  of the warranty for all headphones and headsets to two years is unprecedented. The use of this technology enables a growing number of districts to participate in hybrid learning styles such as distance learning applications in languages for instance, such as the North Carolina Virtual Highschool.

“More and more of the applications we use in our district call for interaction from students, working to create 21st century learners,” said Bobby Blount, Director of Technology Services for the Cherokee County School District, GA. “These programs include software for active language learning, foreign language activities, remediation, special needs students, and supplemental programs that have speech-based components.” As an example, the district uses software from Rosetta Stone for both student interaction and professional development for teachers. “We believe that we are better preparing our students to live in a global society by using  Rosetta Stone and Pearson’s SuccessMaker® Enterprise, and we need quality technology – both computers and headsets – for our students and teachers to learn efficiently,” Blount said.

Multimedia learning centers and players can help schools in a variety of applications for different ages. In Unified District #367 in Sterling KS, primary teacher Carol Frees of Early Steps Preschool wanted “To use technology in our classroom, but it’s important with preschoolers that everything works properly. You quickly lose their interest if you have to pause to fix something.” She added “The cordless headphones make these learning centers ideal for within the school environment.”

“We use the Music Maker media player 2385AV-03 in our library for individualized student learning when listening to Audio Books and CDs,” shared Charlene Frank, School Librarian, Boyd ISD, TX. According to Shari Hayes, a Media Specialist from Alloway, NJ, “Teachers use the 2455AV boomboxes in primary grades for listening centers. One Special Ed. teacher uses one to work with a special needs child.”

All orders must include the promo code “Extend My Warranty” on the order to qualify.

The United States Access Board, an independent federal agency whose primary mission is accessibility for people with disabilities, stated that acoustical performance is an important consideration in the design of classrooms. As many classrooms were built during a time when acoustics was not a significant concern, it is critical for administrators to consider the affects poor acoustics may have on student learning.
