Califone Supports New Bretford Cart
When Bretford launched its latest AV cart at Infocomm ‘09, the PAL Presenter’s Assistant, its goal was to offer one of the first fully integrated carts supporting classroom multimedia presentations. The Deluxe version includes a 10-outlet electrical outlet, a TCDPT data pass through plate, and an industry first in an audio amplification component - the Califone PI30 Field Array Speaker.
The criteria established for selecting the PI30 was straight forward in that Bretford didn’t want to use table-top computer speakers that would be hard pressed to fill a classroom. The projection ability of the PI30 and its small footprint have made it a favorite for districts who are integrating multimedia technology into their classrooms. One such district Dysart Unified, the fastest growing district in Arizona, also utilizes the speaker’s ability to support a secondary system for students with special needs.

The specially designed space on the PAL cart fits the narrow Array speaker
The PAL cart holds and supports all the technology equipment (data projector, document camera, DVD player, MP3 player, and gaming console) schools use today and makes it easy to move equipment within or between classrooms. PAL allows an instructor to simply plug in his or her personal laptop and begin the lesson. The Cart includes rails for 19″ rack mounted electronics and was designed for easy access to equipment such as a laptop computer, with a pull-out shelf at standing height. Perforated locking cabinet with front and rear access and a dual plate cutout supports for the easy plug-in of laptops to projectors and AV equipment.
