San Fernando, CA — Califone and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) continued their messaging advocating for the safe use of personal audio technology in classrooms.Representatives from the two organizations met at the just concluded NECC conference to discuss how to reach educators and students to integrate safe listening practices. ASHA recently found that 40 percent of students reported they set their music players’ volume too loud, or above 85 decibels, which is a level hearing experts recommend not be exceeded. (more…)
