A: The Spirit™ SD multimedia player has a button labeled PROG/REPEAT which will allow you to play a CD continuously by pressing this button twice. The first time it will display REP to repeat just the current selected song and the second time this key is pressed it will display ALL to indicate that it will play that CD continuously. A: Yes. The 1886 features a built-in aerial for AM, SW1, and SW2. It provides the users the option of not using the telescopic antenna when listening to AM, SW1, and SW2 radios.
A: Yes. Although the 1886 doesn’t feature a line-in input, you can connect your MP3 Player (such as Califone 8101) or any other audio source via the featured USB connector with the appropriate cable to play audio files for the whole class.
A: The 1886 features Automatic Level Control (ALC) which automatically adjusts the best recording quality and enables users to change the played volume without affecting the recording volume.
A: Both the Spirit™ and Spirit SD multimedia players can fit inside the 2005 carry case, which is padded with foam. Only one player can fit inside at a time along with the 3068AV switchable stereo/mono headphones or other stereo headphones and also a stereo jackbox.
A: The main difference between the Spirit™ multimedia player, previously upgraded with a built-in microphone, and the Spirit SD (also with built-in mic) is that the SD model comes equipped with an SD card slot and USB port. A: The Spirit™ SD multimedia player has an “ENCODE” button to copy songs onto your choice of storage media (USB/SD card) for CD playback. Simply select and play the song, hold down the ‘encode’ button for 3 seconds until the display shows “ENC” to copy the song. A: The Spirit™ SD multimedia player has a write-protect tab used for encoding songs onto an SD card. Make sure the tab is not in the “lock” position to be able to record.
A: To use your Spirit™ SD multimedia player to encode songs onto a USB flash drive, first make sure the memory on the USB drive has not reached capacity. A: The Spirit SD™ media player can play digital audio files from a USB drive, as well as from other sources, and the file names will appear in the display window.
A: All Califone multimedia player/recorders have a “repeat” function that allows you to either repeat a single track or the entire CD. Press the ‘repeat’ button twice to have the CD start over on its own and “repeat all” will appear on the display. Read about other boombox controls.
A: When installing batteries inside your boombox or cassette player, place them on top of the nylon ribbon found inside to help “pop” the old batteries out when they need to be replaced.
