A: The 3066AV headset does not require batteries as it is simple plug and play with its dual 3.5mm headphone plugs. Read more about how you can ensure your headset is working properly.
A: Yes. Both the 3066AV and 3066USB deluxe stereo headsets have replaceable leatherette earpads – model EP2924. Please contact our Customer Service Dept for assistance.
A: First make sure both of the 3066AV 3.5mm plugs are connected to the computer as one is for the headphone part of the headset and the other for the boom microphone. If the problem persists, please contact our tech support dept.
A: The four buttons on the In-line control of our USB Headsets (3064-USB, 3066-USB, and 4100-USB) are for the following functions: microphone on/off switch, volume controls up and down, and mute.
A: After reimaging it looks like the system is missing up to date USB drivers. Try downloading an updated USB driver. You can find a driver in our website on the bottom of the 3066AV page.
A: Depending on the program being used, first select an audio format setting that will work best with your configuration. When using the Windows® Sound Recorder program you can select different Audio Format settings under properties in the File section. The 12.000 khz, 16 bit, stereo audio format has proven to be successful. This setting eliminates the static noise on your 3066-USB headset when playing back the recording.
A: Yes. All of the Califone USB Headsets (3064-USB, 3066-USB, and 4100-USB) feature the in-line microphone on/off switch as well as the volume and mute controls.
A: Once you connect the 3066AV headset to the computer you will be prompted to select whether you want to use a line-in input or mic input. Select mic input and that will connect the microphone part.
A: The difference between a headphone and a headset is a headphone is used only for listening and a headset can be used for listening and capturing audio responses (used by many language/reading programs). Put another way, a headset is a headphone with a microphone attached to it.
A: The software within your computer may not be recognizing the 3066-USB headset. If this is the case, you'll simply need to download a software upgrade (Windows Service Pack 2) which has the USB 2.0 updates that will help your computer recognize the 3066-USB headset.
