Our most rugged headset, the 3066 is designed for language learning in today’s classrooms. This compact, adjustable headset is ideal for high speed internet listening, language learning and tutorials in computer labs and other multimedia applications as well as a web phone.
USB plug eliminates need for a sound card, Windows/Mac compatible
Durable ABS plastic earcups
In-line volume control
Adjustable, padded headband with replaceable foam-filled ear cushions
Around-ear ambient noise-reducing earcups deliver maximum protection against exterior sounds (without added electronic circuitry and expense). This reduces the need to increase the volume (protecting the ears) and helps keep students on task.
“We use the Deluxe Headsets for our Middle and High School foreign language labs and are more than pleased with them. The flexible mic is critical for our application and because the wires don’t pull out, it makes them far more durable than items from three other manufacturers we’ve tried.
They are simply more appropriate for what we do as educators. If you work with kids, it’s just a better product.” Sandy Buffaloe Tech Center Faculty Harvard Westlake School Los Angeles, CA

A: Yes. All of the Califone USB Headsets (3064-USB, 3066-USB, and 4100-USB) feature the in-line microphone on/off switch as well as the volume and mute controls.
A: Once you connect the 3066AV headset to the computer you will be prompted to select whether you want to use a line-in input or mic input. Select mic input and that will connect the microphone part.
A: The difference between a headphone and a headset is a headphone is used only for listening and a headset can be used for listening and capturing audio responses (used by many language/reading programs). Put another way, a headset is a headphone with a microphone attached to it.
A: The software within your computer may not be recognizing the 3066-USB headset. If this is the case, you'll simply need to download a software upgrade (Windows Service Pack 2) which has the USB 2.0 updates that will help your computer recognize the 3066-USB headset.
