Durable ABS plastic earcups
In-line volume control
Adjustable, padded headband with replaceable foam-filled ear cushions

“We use the Deluxe Multimedia Stereo headsets in our middle school Intensive Reading classes which are part of the READ 180 program. Since the program requires headphones with mics, we need a product that captures student responses with sufficient audio quality and can stand up to the day-in an day-out uses.” Karen Maguire Reading Coach Oakridge Middle School Naples, FL
A: No. All of the USB headphones and headsets that Califone makes integrate the USB plug into the cord, not as an attachment. They are also "plug and play" compatible so there's no tedious pre-loading of software necessary.
A: When the adjustable headband of the 2924series, HPK series, and 3066 series is fully extended, the length from the headband to the center of the earcups is 6.5 inches. The adjustable headband makes these headphones and headbands suitable for adults too.
A: There are no ¼” plug adapters available for Califone headsets. There are stereo headsets for use with computers that only come with either a 3.5mm plug or a USB plug. The 3064 and 3066 are available in both and the 4100 only as a USB headset. The 2964AV is a monaural headset for use with the Califone CardMaster™ that has two ¼” plugs. A: The USB Headsets feature three LED lights on the In-line control as easy-to-see indicators for the users. The bigger LED light at the base of the In-line control indicates headset power on/off; the top small LED light signifies microphone on/off; and the small LED light in the middle flashes when data is transmitting.
A: The 3066AV headset does not require batteries as it is simple plug and play with its dual 3.5mm headphone plugs. Read more about how you can ensure your headset is working properly.

A: Depending on the program being used, first select an audio format setting that will work best with your configuration. When using the Windows® Sound Recorder program you can select different Audio Format settings under properties in the File section. The 12.000 khz, 16 bit, stereo audio format has proven to be successful. This setting eliminates the static noise on your 3066-USB headset when playing back the recording.
A: After reimaging it looks like the system is missing up to date USB drivers. Try downloading an updated USB driver. You can find a driver in our website on the bottom of the 3066AV page.
A: The difference between a headphone and a headset is a headphone is used only for listening and a headset can be used for listening and capturing audio responses (used by many language/reading programs). Put another way, a headset is a headphone with a microphone attached to it.
A: Once you connect the 3066AV headset to the computer you will be prompted to select whether you want to use a line-in input or mic input. Select mic input and that will connect the microphone part.
A: The software within your computer may not be recognizing the 3066-USB headset. If this is the case, you'll simply need to download a software upgrade (Windows Service Pack 2) which has the USB 2.0 updates that will help your computer recognize the 3066-USB headset.
