Our MP4 Player/Recorder is a personal media player that helps students master reading, speaking and listening skills by enabling them to view educational videos (AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, DAT, MP4), charts or diagrams as well as play and record audio files (MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE, AAC, WAV ) from science experiments, class presentations, or educator lessons for later playback. It can be used for 1:1 and differentiated small group learning programs and be used by teachers to reinforce curriculum concepts taught in class (or in a flipped environment) to strengthen understanding and increase student motivation. Use of the 8201 can give students the ability to take individual ownership of their work at their own pace while offering high-quality digital learning resources for nurturing language learning & reading skills, ELL, ELD applications and listening to recorded books and music. Creating audio files and podcasts to showcase student learning is central to the Common Core standards. The ability to synthesize and share information is a 21st century skill that will now be required of all students to ensure that they are college and career ready when they graduate.
With its built-in microphone, the 8201 supports students creating podcasts for project-based learning activities, speech pathologists who can track a student's progress and teachers that can record audio notes to email to parents. It has an LCD touch-screen for easy-to-use navigation with dual 3.5mm headphone jacks for two students to listen & watch at the same time, or a stereo jackbox can be connected instead of a second headphone to expand the number of participating students. Since hearing safety is so important, the built-in Sentinel™ technology restricts the volume of playback to the ASHA recommended 85dB maximum, with the option to disengage the sound restriction for students with special needs or other situations.
The MP4 Player Recorder comes with one lightweight, adjustable digital stereo 8200-HP headphone (8201), whose on-ear earcups help reduce ambient noise to keep the students more on task.
It's also available with two headphones or as a 4-Person Learning Center (8204) that includes one MP4 player recorder, four 8200-HP headphones, one mini stereo jackbox (1114AVPS) and storage/carry case.
Dual 3.5mm jacks connect two headphones at one time
Built-in mic records podcasts, vocal responses, tracks student progress, is ideal for testing and can't get lost
