Califone® understands that a CD player made for occassional home use doesn't last as one intended for day-in and dayout school uses. Our CD102 supports language learning programs and allows students of all abilities to study at their own pace.
“I use the Califone Personal CD Players players on a daily basis with elementary and middle school students to assist them with a CD based reading series.” Jennifer Jordan Reading Lab Mt. View School Etowah, TN
A: The HOLD Switch in the Personal CD Player prevents accidental selection of an unwanted function during Playback or Stop mode. When the HOLD Switch is at the “ON” position, no function button can be operated (except OPEN). When it’s at the “OFF” position, it allows the unit to return to normal operation.
A: The 1214AVPY, though now discontinued, is a monaural jackbox that is best used with monaural headphones in the 2924AV series or the 3068AV switchable mono/stereo headphone as well as with cassette player/recorders. Monaural products are not compatible with stereo applications as the sound will only come out of one ear. A stereo jackbox or mini stereo jackbox is compatible with a CD player and other media players as it too is a stereo unit and provides stereo surround sound. The 2924AVPS stereo headphones can be used with this jackbox to ensure that audio comes out of both earcups. Click here to find out the differences between stereo and monaural audio equipment.
A: The time shown on the digital display counter on the CD-102 personal media player will have to be used to resume playing a CD or audio book if stopped as the CD player does not have a feature with the ability to allow you to get back to where you were without using the ‘skip’ mode buttons. Read more about its use.
A: Regardless of which frequency you are using, all of the transmitters in this series can be linked to any type of audio source (personal CD player, other type of media player or computer) with the patch cord (1/4" to 3.5mm). It is included with the purchase of any 4-person CLS wireless system, and is what’s needed to connect the CLS transmitter to an audio source.
