A: No. The USB port on the DC896 Diggiditto™ document camera is only for connecting to a computer’s USB port, where images can then be saved into a computer file.
A: No. A DVD player cannot be connected to the DC896 Diggiditto™ document camera. Any videos created using the DC896 can only be transferred to a computer using a USB cable that connects the document camera’s USB port to that of your computer.
A: The default signal setting for the DC896 is set to computer monitor viewing. To view images on your TV, you need to change the signal setting to TV viewing after connecting the DC896 to the TV. Simply press the SIGNAL button on the remote control once to change the setting.
A: Yes. The DC896 can convert color images to black & white. Simply press the “B.W.” button on the remote control to convert captured color images into black & white.
A: The DC896 features RCA video output jack and the S-Video output jack. You can use either RCA video cable or the S-Video cable to connect DC896 to your TV.
A: To access the images stored in the temporary internal memory of DC896, simply press the PREVIEW icon/button on the DC896 Control Panel or the remote control. All images that have been stored will be displayed. Press the same icon/button again to switch back to the live view.
A: Yes. The DC896 features a fully rotating (close to 360-degree) camera head. Simply rotate the camera head to the desired position/angle to show the image of objects in a distance. This application is especially practical in a science lab setting for recording the steps in a science experiment.
A: Yes. The DC896 features an USB port and comes with an USB cable. Simply connect your computer and the DC896 USB port via the USB cable to save viewed images.
A: Yes. The DC896 features two 3.5mm Audio In jacks, one on the back panel and the other on its side panel. Simply use either one of the Audio In jacks to connect with the PC to transfer audio from the PC to the speakers.
A: To change the video encoding format setting with the DC896 remote control, simply press and hold the Focus button for 3 seconds to get into the setting menu, and then click on video encoding option to select your desired format.
A: The DC896 features three light settings: Upper Light On, Base Light On, and All Lights Off. The Upper Light On option illuminates printed materials and 3-dimensional objects, whereas the Base Light On setting enables transparencies or slides to be viewed clearly. In the situation where the natural environment light is sufficient, All Lights Off setting could be ideal.
A: The Rotate function of the DC896 first flips the image on the horizontal axis to create a mirror image; if the rotate button is pressed again, the image will be flipped on its vertical axis. Press the rotate button one more time to return to the original image.
A: Yes. In the Screen Division mode, the right side panel shows the frozen image and the left panel shows the live image. The Rotate function can be utilized to flip the live image on the left panel for comparing & analyzing purposes.
A: Yes. To add notation to the picture or image shown via DC896, simply select “Paint” and choose the desired type of brush. Color and width options are also available.
A: The DC896 Diggiditto™ document camera cannot connect to an overhead project however it can connect to both a computer and a digital projector using one of two RGB outputs found in back of the document camera.
A: Yes. The DC896 Diggiditto™ Smart Document Camera can connect to computer monitors, projectors and other display devices via one of its two RGB (VGA) outputs located on the rear panel.
