The MCFCW1 Compound Words card program helps students develop their reading and writing ability, one of the foundational skills emphasized by the Common Core State Standards. Educators can integrate use of these pre-recorded vocabulary cards with the Califone CAR2020 CardMaster™ card reader (not included) into special education instruction and early childhood classroom curriculums. The cards can help students link visible letters and words with the sounds they hear played back through the card reader for ELL/ELD, speech language therapies, foreign language acquisition and adult literacy groups.
This repeated, multi-modal, kinesthetic, visual and auditory reinforcement helps solidify mental connections between the written and spoken word. It's also a useful teaching tool for reviewing and assessing literacy proficiency, decoding skills and vocabulary levels.
This card program set consists of 72 full-color audio cards, each with a whimsical illustration and word to help students identify familiar, high-frequency compound words A-Z. All the audio cards in this set are sequentially numbered for easy classroom management.
