A: The PA-282 slightly smaller with a 2.5” diameter speaker size versus the PA-285 which as a 3.5” diameter speaker size. Both VoiceSaver™ personal PA speakers can benefit educators and presenters by helping them save their voice.
A: The VoiceSaver™ is only compatible with the HBM319 headset microphone and cannot be used with an attached or remote microphone of any kind. An alternative to using the PA-282 would be the PA Pro™ that can be used with either its own hands-free lapel mic or PA10X-M handheld microphone. A: Yes. Both VoiceSaver models (PA-282 and PA-285) come with the Hands-Free Headset Microphone HBM319. This headset is included with each VoiceSaver purchased and additional headsets can be purchased separately.
A: There are four differences between the VoiceSaver models. The bigger PA-285 is a little more powerful at 5 watts RMS compared with 2 watts for the PA-282. It is physically a little larger, but can still be comfortably worn for extended periods of time. The PA-285 also has an Aux-in, so that the audio from projectors can be connected for amplification. The PA-285 also is threaded for a tripod underneath, enabling the user to elevate the unit for enhanced projection to the audience.
A: The PA-282 uses 4 "AA" batteries while the PA-285 used 6 "AA" batteries. Please contact our Customer Service Dept to confirm which VoiceSaver you have so you can receive the correct quantity of batteries.
A: If you are using its battery, it may have simply run out of power and needs to be recharged. Check the battery on your PA system and recharge unit overnight. If the problem persists, please contact our Tech Support Dept.
