This lightweight receiver is designed for use with the transmitter from the Assistive Listening System (WS-series) or Califone 900 MHz PA products. It features dual 3.5mm headphone jacks for two simultaneous listeners coupled with a switch to restrict the volume playback so it won't exceed 85 dB for hearing safety.
A: Yes. To add an additional wireless microphone (Q319) to your existing PA159 or PA319 PA system which comes with only one wireless microphone receiver, simply connect the WS-R Headphone Output to the Aux In of the PresentationPro via an appropriate cable and then match the channel selection of the Q319 and WS-R to begin your presentation. Please note the two wireless microphones need to be on different channels.
A: The power of the WS-T & WS-R could be on or off while recharging. They are both operational while recharging so you could leave the power on and continue using it. However, in this case the LED light won’t turn green when the recharging is complete which serves as an indicator if the power is turned off to recharge.
A: Yes. Both WS-T & WS-R feature a battery icon on the LCD screen which provides battery status. The Power LED light also serves as another indicator – it turns from green to red when the battery is running low.
A: Yes. To automatically match the WS-R channel to the WS-T channel, first ensure there is no other transmitter in the vicinity. Confirm the Channel Lock is off on the WS-R, then position it within one foot of the WS-T. Next, press the Channel Up and Channel Down buttons simultaneously and hold for at least 3 seconds. When the LCD stops flashing, the channel set up is complete.
A: The answer depends on whether or not the PA is equipped to work with multiple mics. For a PA to work with a wireless mic, it must have a built-in receiver to capture the message from the microphone.
Some PAs (such as the PowerPro) have two built-in mic receivers, so two wireless mics can be used by presenters at the same time. Since each receiver is set to a different channel, there's no accidental crosstalk or interference between the two mics.
If two wireless mics are used with a PA that's equipped with only a single mic receiver, it can't differentiate between the two signals and the resulting sound would be a garbled, unintelligible mixture.
A: The Wireless PresentationPro™ only has one wireless receiver so only one wireless microphone can be used with it at a given time. However, you can connect the wireless audio system receiver using an RCA cable to add a second receiver for use with an additional wireless microphone.
A: The wireless audio system receiver and transmitter function as a one-way system so that audio is transmitted only from the transmitter to the receiver and not vice-versa.
A: No they are different ones since each handles a different power requirement. Since the Cradle (WS-CR) charges only a single unit, it handles a lower amount of power. The 4-position charger (WS-CH) can charge up to 4 units (any combinination of the WS-T and WS-R) and deals with more power, so it has to be designed differently.
A: The WS-CH can string two other identical units onto it for a maximum total of three units. This enables a total of up to 12 WS-T and WS-R units to be charged at one time.
